Registria Expands Photoregister for Global Use and to Enhance the In-Store Shopping Experience

DENVER, CO--(Marketwired - March 29, 2016) - Registria announced today several major enhancements to its award-winning mobile product registration solution, Photoregister(SM) that provide brands a global standard to register, engage, and connect with customers in every country. With the introduction of Photoregister for Web and Photoregister for Twitter, customers can tweet, text, message or post a photo from their mobile phone to learn more about products while shopping, or to register their product purchases and warranties after a sale. These new features provide brands with a uniform way to engage buyers around the globe no matter the customer's mobile carrier or device type, which can vary from country to country.

"Brands adopted Photoregister to improve product registration, but have come to see it as a mobile customer engagement solution with a variety of uses," said Chris McDonald, CEO of Registria. "Supporting the retail shopping experience with influential digital content -- such as product ratings and reviews, product specifications and even videos -- is good for both product brands and retailers that benefit from converting soft interest into sales."

Photoregister helps brands to support the retail shopping experience as part of a "Bricks to Clicks" strategy, which identifies prospective buyers and gets them the content they want to help make a purchase decision. Photoregister offers a more accessible and thorough solution than a QR Code, which has seen low adoption from consumers due to the requirement that they download an application in order to view content. In addition, QR Codes do not allow a brand to identify prospective buyers by their mobile phone number or email address.

More than 30 global brands have adopted Photoregister as an entry to mobile customer engagement. Companies have reported that customers who register tend to give products more favorable ratings and reviews and also stay engaged with the brand over a longer period of time. Pre-sale, companies can use Photoregister to distribute ratings and reviews to shoppers on the retail floor. Post-sale, brands can encourage product registration and also sell additional products and extended service and maintenance plans.

Photoregister for Web

Registria's browser-based Photoregister is carrier and device agnostic -- bypassing any variability in mobile networks by market. Built using HTML5, the solution utilizes a device's camera access and allows buyers to take photos directly in the mobile browser and submit their product registration without having to download an application.

Photoregister for Twitter

Twitter users around the globe may tweet a photo @photoregister to initiate a product registration or request information. Rather than requiring consumers to download additional applications, Photoregister works with the applications consumers already use. Facebook, WhatsApp, and WeChat are other social and messenger applications that Photoregister will soon support.

"Many of our clients have a global footprint so the need for a global standard for registration was becoming a critical requirement," says McDonald. "Photoregister for Web and Photoregister for Twitter were developed in direct response to the needs of our Fortune 1000 clients."

Photoregister's marketing technology has won a number of awards. In 2015, Photoregister was recognized by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) with the Innovation Award for Best Digital-Mobile Platform. Photoregister was also honored by the Hubbies for Most Innovative Mobile Marketing Platform and received an Innovation in Warranty Award from the Global Warranty and Service Contract Association (GWSCA).
