For example, there was an issue with a few of our products when we changed manufacturers. Unfortunately, we were not able to trace serial numbers to identify which products came from which manufacturer.
Registria helps me figure out which customer has our product, and how each is configured. We use it because it helps us with support and traceability, enables us to notify customers, and allows us to gather customer details. Further, ISO9000 requires ongoing surveys which we are able to conduct thanks to the information Registria gathers.
Previously, we sold the system and didn’t do much afterwards. We realized that we’re leaving significant amounts of money on the table, as support is a money maker. With Registria, our sales team automatically finds much more money as it enables us to efficiently sell service contracts, get customers to renew and provide them information on upgrades and options. And it’s easier to install Registria than a desktop computer application. In a matter of minutes, we were inputting our product configuration data.
